I read on Missus Smarty Pants (She blogs about style, dressing well and looking your best no matter what your age) today that a good way to ensure that your nail polish is always easy to open is to smear a little Vaseline around the lip of the bottle before you start using it. This keeps the cap lubricated and it is easy to open everytime!
Do you do this already?

Va J-J Visor! Protection For Your Privates - Strange but True
Whilst trolling some websites, I came across this curiosity! Yes, you read it correctly, it’s a Va-J-J Visor! How interesting! And, I must add, quite useful if you um, need coverage of a more personal kind.
This product was developed by a gynecologist in Washington, but there is no mention on whether the creator was a woman or man though! Men have a similar product for themselves, called the ‘cup’ to protect their bits and pieces and now women have THIS.
The VJJV (as it shall now be known) is a disposable shield that protects a woman’s privates, namely the inner labia, clitoris and vaginal opening. It is soft and flexible and stays in place using your body’s natural muscular tension. No strings attached baby!
Uses of the VJJV includes during hair removal – however you like it done girls, whether it be depilatory creams, hot wax, razors, and scissors, as well as during laser and electrolysis treatments – you can use this to keep the tender bits covered and for a little modesty as well.
Importantly, this can be used while you are trying out swimsuits so it’s more hygienic, though personally I have never stripped down completely when trying on swimsuits.
If you are into tanning – which I dare say is not that big in Malaysia yet – then you can use this to protect your parts from a big blast of UV rays. Also, if you suddenly feel the need to tattoo or pierce your private area then this will be great to ensure that the instruments involved don’t venture too near the danger zone!
Check out the colors! Really cute!
Quite useful don’t you think?

Bloodshot Eyes - But I Am No Drinker!
This is a plea to all my readers for natural remedies on how to restore my eyes to it's white glory. For the longest time I have battled the whites of my eyes looking all reddish and bloodshot. I am sick of people asking me:-
So here is my plea, if you have any natural remedies which you can share with me on how to overcome this and restore my peepers to its pearly white lustre, I would be eternally grateful! Is there a herb that I should boil and drink the juice of? Are there specific dietary changes I need to make? Help!
- if I just cried;
- why my eyes are red (if I knew, would I not do something about it?);
- why I look tired;
- if something is wrong with my eyes;

Two Funerals, A Wedding Anniversary and A Family Reunion!
A lot has happened since I last blogged as as the title suggests, I had way too much to deal with and lost a little of my spunk along the way!
Tragically, a young cousin and an old uncle passed away within a month of each other and I thought I would never get over the first death when the second one came along! This threw me into a deep state of sadness which I could not overcome for a while. I did not want to do anything and my mind felt like it was in a state of nothingness. It was just blank and I was going through the motions.....
My husband came to the rescue by just being there for me and allowing me to cry whenever I needed to. What I would do without him I really do not know......it also helped that I had friends whom I could count on, thanks PPS!
I was back and raring to go soon enough and looked forward to spending some time with my beloved on our 11th wedding anniversary. We dressed up and spent an evening wining, dining and sharing our wonderful year together. I assure you ladies, it gets better as the years roll by! (at least for me it did)
The icing on the cake after the tragedies, was reconnecting with a lost branch of our family tree on my mum's side. After 26 years, my family and I met with some long lost nieces/nephews/cousins! What a blessing indeed it was for me to discover that I had 5 older cousins (when all along I was the eldest!) and to meet up at my place on Christmas day was a double blessing indeed!
So all in all, in the last months that I have been missing, what I really missed was writing and testing products and playing with make-up! I may have lost some members of my family but God gave me more than I lost by way of my new-found relatives. It was amazing to see each one of them and best of all.....I have connections in Singapore which means I would be able to get products from there not found in Malaysia to review for you my dear readers!
I pray that each and every one of you has a blessed year in 2011! Thank you for your loyal support.

Did You Know.....
Did you know that MUFE's single shadows have pans that are easily detachable?
I recently discovered this!
All you do is use your nail (or a sharp object) and from the top (carefully) pull out the pan. It is attached by a magnet and comes out easily.
Cool if you decide to depot and organize all your colors in one pan!

Have You Ever Forgotten A Step In Your Makeup Routine?
Or does this only happen to me?!
I walked out of the house the other day and had the strongest feeling that I had forgotten something. Turns out, I had forgotten to put on mascara.
I have forgotten the following on my way out to the office:-
- my watch
- lipstick
- my work laptop
- to kiss my children
- to kiss my husband
- blusher
- to drink my coffee

Dust And What It Can Do To You!
We have been subjected to extreme amounts of dust in our new office with workers drilling, moving, adding, cutting and laying down carpets around us as we are trying to work. Everything is 'work in progress' and nothing seems to be done yet.
I noticed the effect this had on my face when I got up this morning and mind you I have been here for only two days. I got up to visibly enlarged pores and the redness on my cheekes had deepened. My eyes felt gritty this morning too and god know what is going on in my lungs.
Could being in a dusty office have caused this?

Moving!
Hello dear readers,
There will be a severe lack of posts these next few days due to the fact that I (and my colleagues) will be moving office. We are moving from a place most call godforsaken (on most maps, this place is formally named Putrajaya, Malaysia) to Kuala Lumpur. This is where all the action is at and the best food can be found. Also because we are in the heart of the city, it's pretty much where EVERYTHING is at!
There will be no posts for a while because of these reasons:-

There will be no posts for a while because of these reasons:-
- I will be too tired to put anything on my face at the end (or start, for that matter) of every day until we are settled in - hence, trials of all the products I am currently in the midst of testing for you (the things I do for my craft!) will be hereby suspended until life as it were resumes.
- most of my decently long nails will be broken or chipped by the time I unpack my stuff and decorate my work space - hence, any Konading or showing off of nails colors will be disrespectful to serious nail lovers.

Beaded Blue Chain
I scored this sweet lil' thang last week on a trip to a nearby mall. Got it for about 30 Malaysian Ringgits (a discounted rate from the tag you see) and I love how these little touches can jazz up a plain outfit.
There was a time in the past when I did not like accessories such as these and preferred to wear a plain gold chain and some gold earrings. Now I realise that adding accessories to complement your outfit can freshen your look instantly! It takes a little more time in the morning but with a helpful husband (who provides the extra pair of hands to help put on the chain) - anything is possible!!
I plan my outfit for the next office day the night before so I don't waste precious time thinking of whether this goes with that. I then think about what accessory or accessories go with the outfit. Oftentimes it is just the addition of a bold ring or a small pair of earrings or a chain. Never all three together and only two at most.
What are your favourite accessories, dear readers?

Futterwacken Anyone?
Tim Burton is a genius because Alice in Wonderland turned out to be such a wonderful movie under his directorship. Since the Hubs was on an out-of-state work assignment, I took my little girls to watch it last Saturday.
What an awesome visual feast it was and I found myself being transported back to my childhood as I remembered reading the book and wishing the white rabbit would visit me in my backyard! I believe I may have seen him once.......
Johnny Depp was excellent bar none! Can you ever imagine anyone else doing the part of the Hatter? I loved when he told Alice that she has lost her 'much-ness'......I wonder if I have lost my much-ness.......
Did you jive to the Futterwacken and wish it would go on and on? Johnny at his best, I tell you!
Matt Lucas (of Little Britain) as the Tweedles was cool to watch also.
Did you manage to catch this movie, dear readers? Let me know what you thought of it.

Bangkok Purchases
Whilst shopping at Chatuchak Market (or JJ market as the locals call it - seemingly its pronounced Jhatujhak or something similar). I stumbled upon several shops selling necklaces and I picked up a few for myself. The price and the make of these necklaces made it hard to resist.
Firstly, I picked up the blue one and then fell in love with the red one (no surprises as red is my favourite color) and took the green for good measure!
